Why this app exists
Sticker Builder started with a simple frustration shared by a lot of parents: handing a toddler a phone meant handing them a slot machine of ads, pop-ups, "watch a video to continue" nags, and apps quietly collecting data about a two-year-old. I wanted the opposite — something a small child could open, play, and put down, with nothing trying to extract money or attention in the background.
So the app is deliberately small and old-fashioned in the best way. A child drags colourful stickers onto the right spot to finish a cheerful scene. There is no way to lose, no timer, and no score chasing them. Every scene and sticker is drawn by a person and ships inside the download, which is why it works with the device in airplane mode and behaves exactly the same every single time.
What the app does — and does not — do
🚫 No ads, ever
Zero ads, zero pop-ups, no "reward" videos. The one-time $1 price is what makes that possible — you are the customer, not the product.
🔒 No data collection
No analytics, no third-party trackers, no accounts. The Google Play Data safety card reports no data collected and no data shared. Progress stays on the device.
✈️ Works fully offline
Download once and it plays with no internet connection — on flights, in the car, in waiting rooms. Nothing is streamed or fetched.
🤖 No AI, no chat
No chatbot, no voice input, no AI-generated content, no recommendation feed. Fixed, human-made content a child cannot be surprised by.
How these guides are written
The blog exists because the questions parents ask about kids' apps — is it really ad-free, what does it collect, how many puzzle pieces suit a three-year-old, how much screen time is sensible — rarely have a straight, un-sponsored answer online. I write these guides from hands-on experience building and testing the app with real children, and from the public guidance of child-health and child-safety organisations, which I try to represent accurately rather than dramatically.
A few standards I hold the writing to:
- Experience first. Advice about how young children actually use puzzles and apps comes from watching them do it, not from guessing.
- No fake urgency. The guides will tell you when a free or offline option is fine, even when that option is not this app.
- Corrections welcome. Guidance for children's apps ages quickly. If something here is out of date or wrong, email me — ideally with a link — and I will fix it. This site would rather be accurate than consistent.
- Written by a person. These are not machine-spun pages churned out to chase search terms; each one is meant to answer a real question a parent has.
The short version
Sticker Builder is an ad-free sticker puzzle game for children ages 2–8 on Android. Kids drag colourful stickers into place to complete cheerful scenes. Zero ads, zero tracking, works fully offline, COPPA compliant, a one-time $1 purchase on Google Play with no subscriptions and no in-app purchases. It is made by one person who cares a great deal about getting the small things right.
